Found myself at a birthday dinner Saturday night hosted for a popular chef at her restaurant in S. beach.  There were about 40 of us invited, and I was with my argentine bombshell and another friend.  As we get seated this guy comes over and sits next to my girl.  He originally was trying to sit next to his friend and said something like “What man would ever mind sitting next to you?” 

So almost immediately said dork starts chatting up my girl.  He happened to bring his own bottle of wine (this was a pretty high caliber group of restaurant owners, executive chefs, etc) and offered her some.  He made no attempt to offer me any.   So in a very mockingly hurt voice I lean forward and look him in the eye and say “You mean you aren’t going to offer me any wine?”   He immediately says oh of course have as much as you like. 

My reason for doing this was twofold.  One, to make him look like the dork he was by trying to have a private conversation with a girl before he identified her date, and two to establish the fact that she came with me and he had no shot. 

He went on asking where she was from, what she did- all the safe and boring questions someone with no game uses as opening material.  At some point he pulled out his card and set it on the table.  I nearly laughed.  We left a short while later with the card on the table. 

If you like a girl who you may believe is with a guy:

•1.        Make eye contact with both and execute opener or immediately include both in conversation

•2.       After the initial response ask “So how do you two know each other?”

Guys who hang with hot women usually don’t care when other guys find their girl hot.  What guys find offensive is the complete lack of acknowledgement of the fact she is with someone. 

In the situation above, argentine bombshell could have been my sister, but not engaging me to find out shows a complete lack of social knowledge.  Imagine chatting up a girl for 30 minutes only for her to eventually get up and leave with boyfriend/husband/fiancé.  Complete waste of time…
