Monday Morning Field Report: 7/30/07

Saturday night was going to be a big night at club Mansion in South Beach. It was an anniversary party as well as the owner’s birthday. I get their around 1 am and met up with a couple of girls that I know along with a trusted wingman.
The club itself is an old theater, it’s huge and has a stage at one end where the dj sets up. The plan was that around 2 am the owner would be presented with a gift. A friend asked if we wanted to watch it from the stage itself, and we agreed. There was a group of about 5 or 6 dancers in top hats and leotards, and a transvestite who jumped out of a box. The show went off without a hitch, and the best part was that since we had access to the back stage, the entire club could see us. More social proof.
After the celebration, we went back to the VIP section. I approached a table of 5 girls and 3 or 4 men. The men were quite a bit older then the girls which is pretty common in Miami. At any rate, I had good eye contact with a couple of the girls and I leaned over the table and told one, “You’re looking at me like a polar bear looks at a seal” I followed that up with, “you’re a bad girl….I could never take you home to mommy” She laughed and told me she was from Columbia. At that instant, I felt a sharp pain near my elbow. I turned quickly to find one of the guys pulling his cigarette back. He apologized for burning me and I asked if it was intentional. He said of course not, but since I was at his table, ready to pull one of his chicks, I’m not sure I believe him.
As I am speaking to him, my wing appears with a couple of girls. I began grooving with the hot one and once again get distracted. I was really having trouble concentrating on 1 target. One of those nights. As I make my way to the bar, I see Bonnie (Monday Morning Field Report: 7/2/07) dancing with a girlfriend and some guys at another table. I walk over and say hello. We dance together for a minute and I go to get a drink. As I’m at the bar I see the costume designer who I spoke to backstage. Another girl friend sees me and comes over and we all talk. After a few minutes I open another girl at the bar with “It would never work out..” She’s like, “What do you mean? What wouldn’t work out?” I go “I can tell already we are too much alike….you wouldn’t take my shit and I wouldn’t take yours….we’d fight…I’d win, and you’d develop low self esteem” She laughs. The bartender hands her the tab but she is having trouble figuring out the tip. I bust her on it. She gets embarrassed but is still laughing. She is from New York, staying in Miami for a few days. Anyway, I was in between two different conversations trying to start a third and just got distracted. When I turned back around she was gone.
So I head back to the VIP area and start dancing with Bonnie. I wanted to work a couple of other girls, but when you’re with one of the hottest there, at a late hour, sometimes it’s tough to motivate. Anyway, I leave the club with Bonnie, we hit an after hours place, get breakfast, then do our own version of gift giving…and it wasn’t even her birthday….lol
